Special Lok Adalat

During the Year 2009, DHCLSC Organised Special Lok Adalat of NDPL/BSES/ICICI cases (Pre-litigative) and in these Special Lok Adalat around 7992 cases were amicably settled.
DHCLSC organized Special Lok Adalat for the settlement of Prelitigative matters relating to BSES and NDPL on 13^th February, 14^th February and 21^st February, 2010 respectively for the benefit of the consumers. A total of 2712 cases were settled in these Special Lok Adalats.
The Special Lok Adalat was organized by DHCLSC for the pending cases of High Court of Delhi on 16.03.2013. Two Lok Adalat benches were constituted which were presided over by Hon’ble Mr. Justice J.P. Singh (Retired) and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Satpal Singh (Retired), Mr. K. Venkatraman and Mr. Vinod Wadhwa, Advocates were associate members. The pending MACA and Electricity matters were taken up and a total numbers of 44 cases were disposed of as settled. In MAC Appeals Rs.49,50,876/- enhanced compensation was given and in Electricity matters Rs. 71,97,706/- was recovered as Civil Liability. For the first time the cheques of compensation were also distributed by Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Malhotra, Secretary, DHCLSC on the day of Lok Adalat itself
