Interactive Session for the Panel Lawyers of DHCLSC READ MORE

VISIT TO PLACE OF SAFETY, MAJNU KA TILA, DELHI 

On 05.09.2019, Ms. Anu Grover Baliga, Ld. Secretary, DHCLSC alongwith Mr. Aditya Vikram, Ld. Panel Advocate visited Place of Safety, Majnu Ka Tila and observed the conditions of CCL.  Ld. Secretary, DHCLSC interacted with approx. 80 CCLs and informed them about the free legal services provided by DSLSA/DHCLSC.  Details of CCLs lodged in Place of Safety for more than three years were also obtained to pursue their matters, expeditiously. 

INVITATION BY AKASHWANI 

On 26.08.2019, Ld. Secretary, DHCLSC was invited by Akashwani to be part of the panel of guests to answer phone queries live from 9:30 P.M. To 10:30 P.M. On the topic "Right of Equality of Women" on the occasion of the Women's Rights Day.

VISIT OF PANEL LAWYERS TO DETENTION CENTRES

On 28.08.2019, Mr. Harsh Prabhakar and Ms. G. M. Padma Priya, Ld. Panel Advocates have visited to Detention Centre, Sewa Sadan, Lampur and Detention Centre, Asha Jyoti Home at Nirmal Chhaya Complex, Delhi for providing legal assistance to the inmates (Reference C.M. No. 19698/2011 in W.P.C. 4663/2008).   

INTERACTION OF HON'BLE  CHAIRMAN WITH PANEL ADVOCATES OF  DHCLSC

Interaction sessions for the panel Advocates of DHCLSC were organized and Hon’ble Chairman, DHCLSC interacted with the panel lawyers.  During the session, Panel Lawyers of DHCLSC raised their queries and the same were resolved by Ld. Secretary and Hon’ble Chairman, DHCLSC.  Hon’ble Chairman, DHCLSC also gave his valuable suggestions for improvement of quality of legal services offered by Panel Advocates.

STATUTORY MEETING OF  DHCLSC

On 30-07-2019, Statutory Meeting of Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee was convened by Hon’ble Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar, Judge, High Court of Delhi and Hon’ble Chairman, DHCLSC.  The meeting was attended by Ms. Anu Grover Baliga, Secretary, DHCLSC, Ld. Member Secretary, DSLSA, nominated and ex-officio members of DHCLSC.  The meeting was also attended by Shri Shashi Kant, Sr. Technical Director (NIC), Shri Ajay Bhatia, Deputy Jail Superintendent (on behalf of D.G. Prisons, Central Jail, Tihar, New Delhi) and Shri Rahul Mehra, Sr. Standing Counsel (Criminal) as Special Invitees..   Various issues were resolved for smooth functioning of DHCLSC and improvement of Free Legal Services.

 A training session/ workshop was conducted on 28.09.2019 for Criminal and Civil Panel Lawyers of DHCLSC.  The topic of the workshop is Court Craft.  The speakers are Mr. Dayan Krishnan, Sr. Advocate and Mr. Siddharth Aggarwal, Advocate.
