Ms. Shefali Sharma, Additional District & Session Judge, who is currently discharging functions as Secretary, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) is an experienced Judicial Officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Services with a diverse background.

Ms. Shefali Sharma is an alumnus of the prestigious Miranda House College, University of Delhi where she pursued B.A (Hons). Thereafter, she secured a Degree in Bachelors of Law (LL.B.) from the esteemed Faculty of Law, Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi. She also holds a Degree in Masters of Law (LL.M.) from University of Pune with specialization in Human Rights and Gender Justice.

Ms. Sharma joined the judicial services in 2009. Over the past 15 years of her career as a Judicial Officer, she has presided over various civil as well as criminal jurisdictions. On the civil side, she has dealt with various property disputes, contractual disputes and has also presided over designated court for Delhi Development Authority (DDA) matters. On the criminal side, she has not only dealt with cases of heinous crimes of murder and dowry deaths but has also dealt with sensitive matters pertaining to Human Rights, Persons with Disabilities, Prevention of Sexual offences against children, offences against women and the SC/ST Act.

Ms. Sharma has also made her contribution in the legal field as a Resource Person at the Delhi Judicial Academy and imparted training to Judicial Officers and Public Prosecutors. She has also imparted training to the empanelled advocates of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) on the new criminal laws, i.e., Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS). Additionally, Ms. Shefali is a Trained Mediator and has participated in various Conferences organized at both National and District levels.

Apart from contributing on the judicial side, Ms. Shefali has also played an integral role on the administrative side and has been an active member of various Committees at the District level including Vigilance Committee, Sexual Harassment Committee and has also served in the capacity of Officer-In charge (Administration) in her former posting.

Ms. Sharma is deeply committed to the legal field and has successfully handled various situations on the judicial as well as administrative side with her calmness, compassion and dedication to her work.
