Mr. Arul Varma, Additional District & Session Judge, who is currently discharging functions as Secretary, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) is an experienced Judicial Officer of the Delhi Higher Judicial Services with a diverse background. Mr.Varma has been serving as a judicial officer since 2010 and over the course of his 14 years career, he has successfully served in various capacitiesas a Special Metropolitan Magistrate(NI), Secretary, DLSA, Principal Magistrate (JJB), Chief Metropolitan Magistrate and Additional District and Sessions Judge (Electricity & NDPS)across different district courts and forums in Delhi.

Educationally, Mr.Varma holds an LL.B from the esteemed Faculty of Law, Delhi University and an LL.M from the Indian Law Institute, Delhi. He has actively contributed to the legal community as a resource person and speaker in Judicial and Police Academies, seminars, workshops and training programs on critical topics like legal literacy, women's rights, juvenile justice, and human trafficking.

His contributions extend to publications and reports on legal issues, notably in areas such as juvenile justice laws and strategies to combat drug addiction. He has also been a participant in both national and international conferences focused on human rights, women's rights, and enhancing justice delivery systems.

Furthermore, he has played integral roles in various committees and boards, including the Victim Compensation Committee, Under Trial Review Committee, Security Committee, Recruitment Committee etc. These engagements reflect his deep commitment to legal administration and continuous efforts towards legal reform.

Mr. Arul Varma's extensive expertise, profound training experience and dedicated contributions to legal education and reform underscore his invaluable role within the legal profession not only as a judicial officer but as a legal activist as well.
